I'm just starting to get through the books with my toddler, so a trip is definitely on the cards now. :)

Caroline.x
www.carolineelgeywhite.comCarolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03007296783721236903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505716782309030758.post-51816046701991683402016-10-09T06:55:58.299+01:002016-10-09T06:55:58.299+01:00Oh I'd love to go here. I must get the kids some of these books actually. I'm adding this to my bucket list, it looks gorgeousAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18013494715738419345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505716782309030758.post-90148113926667860922016-10-08T12:51:39.752+01:002016-10-08T12:51:39.752+01:00Oh! We went to The World of Beatrix Potter quite a few times when I was younger as we lived not too far away, and I loved it. Sounds like you and Simon had a lovely day!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05472026728342521915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505716782309030758.post-17279961853592201012016-10-07T07:03:36.349+01:002016-10-07T07:03:36.349+01:00I'm pretty sure I still have all of my origina...I'm pretty sure I still have all of my original books somewhere; my Aunt has just bought M the new one which was published in the last few weeks - Beatrix never illustrated it, so it hadn't been published. Quentin Blake has done a lovely job with it.

I can't quite believe we've been to The Lakes 4/5 times and not visited. It will have to be on our list next time we go. Perhaps along with the Pencil Museum in Derwent.

As an aside, wasn't it Beatrix Potter's gift of some land/property that launched The National Trust?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03874418080985972538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3505716782309030758.post-12601816714752702742016-10-07T06:18:22.228+01:002016-10-07T06:18:22.228+01:00Ah this place just looks so quintessentially Engli...Ah this place just looks so quintessentially English. I used to love Jemima Puddle Duck the best. H, H and J don't read Beatrix Potter but I think they'd still enjoy a visit (as would I) as its just so pretty and cute!
